What is your favourite PJ song right now and why?

Because their catalogue is so big and of such a high quality my favourite song 'of the now' often changes but my absolute favourites have remained pretty steady.
Right now I keep going back to 'Faithfull'.

Right now, it's "I Got Id"

I'm feeling the theme right now, and I just love these lyrics:

"So I'll just lie down and wait for the dream
Where I'm not ugly and you're lookin at me"

Immortality. The realistic approach of how people don't have time to care about other people and their personal struggles. How insignificant we can make people feel and become with our indifference.
Remember back, the early days, When you were young, and thus amazed, suddenly the channel changed the first time you saw blood.

    Present Tense
    Because these words:
"You can spend your time alone, re-digesting past regrets, oh
Or you can come to terms and realize
You're the only one who can't forgive yourself, oh
Makes much more sense, to live in the present tense"
Let's say knowledge is a tree, yeah.
It's growing up just like me.
  • Wishlist. The live versions are so much stronger than the studio version. I always hated how the studio version ended, the live versions make it a whole new beast.

I am Mine, indifference, and Alive, the first one for me is a good reminder, not always to lead my life up to the expectations of others, especially the lines:"Significant, behind the eyes
There's no need to hide... I only know my mind, I am mine."

Indifference and Alive because describe some off my emotions very well, I could have wrote them if I was a better writer...LOL

Sirens...it's just a gorgeous song, I am so in love with it...it's one of those songs you'd like to imagine someone wrote about you....*giggle* and old school Black...I dunno, I've just sort of fallen in love with this song all over again...I've felt it before...

Sirens for the moment for me too, each person has their own visualization of a song and I guess I think of the end of the world and people being taken away like redeemed and I imagine my partner being so far away and I cant contact him and wondering if he got redeemed (mind you I dont have a partner lol) Its almost like a deja vu you could say and im always hoping that my partner and I are together holding tight to each other at such a great event as such of my visualization but its just my imagination but not impossible or improbable

Lighting bolt - my 8 year old is obsessed with it especially the "awesome" guitar solo. I love it as he sings along. He's trying to play on his guitar - and complaining it's only acoustic! This could get expensive...
  • Sirens.....saw the band play it at Leeds last week and it blew me away.... perfect memory

It's probably always going to be Alive because it's the first PJ song I ever heard and it stayed with me since then.

Right now, I'm listening the shit out of Sirens which I guess won't get better once the European bootlegs are released (a youtube video from Vienna is played A LOT by several people here at the office already), but I started going through my bootleg collection when driving, so I'm rediscovering a lot of songs now.

Immortality. Most beautiful music I've heard. Combined with Eddie's voice & message is perfection.
