Both are really great - Ament's second solo record is pretty amazing. Worth getting on vinyl IMO.
Thanks for the response.
I have been listening to Moonlander digital while awaiting my order. I have not listened to RNDM songs yet. So I just want to get a feeling before I spend 25bucks.
The RNDM record is better than Ament & Gossard's records put together. Sublime music & a follow up on the way.
Is this available on CD as well?
I am only asking because I don't want another record going on the shelf collecting dust..
I doubt it will collect dust. Maybe head to iTunes & listen to the song previews. It's a great album. And I agree with Chris---Ament's solo stuff is really good. I like his 2nd album better than his first.
Just out of curiosity, why is this question asked in "Other Music"? Jeff Ament is a member of Pearl Jam, and there are always PJ side project posts and stickies on the Porch, so why would this conversation be held in "Other Music"? I guess I'm also asking because it seems like some side projects are not treated as equal to others, and maybe this was just an oversight, but I'd hate to think that maybe Jeff's side projects are seen as "more other" than Ed's or Mike's...

Hi, A great question.
I listed it in "Other Music" because I find the Porch is being eroded into a paid personal chatroom at others expense.........I will leave it at that.
For years it was unfathomable to me that PJ would have side projects. So I decided to take the plunge and listen to Moonlander.
After that I decided to give RNDM a go.
Ever since I can't stop listening to "The Disappearing Ones" (One of two songs included digitally with purchase of the RNDM vinyl)
The side projects of PJ are great but untethered.
Moonlander is great but some of the unfinished PJ songs that are on this record feels like no one was telling them to cut the chord the song is done.
RDMN so far seems tight, to the point and available for the masses.
I just edited this to include that RDMN sounds influenced my Seven Mary Three
Fair enough... not sure I totally understand your point about the Porch, but I respect what I think I understand of your opinion on the Porch.
I haven't heard Moonlander, and actually I shamefully don't own Acts yet (but need to get it). But I did see RNDM on their too-short tour, and I had way too good a time, am anxiously awaiting more music and more shows. I also saw Three Fish, Brad, Ed solo and I'm forgetting another side project I've seen, but RNDM is far and away my favorite.
Hope you enjoy the new RNDM music as well, and don't miss them live!
