ok, hear me..it might not be such a stupid idea (though I've only had a handful of hours sleep..not even tired though )
Of course they could play it safe and kick off with one of the big rock famous ones (of ten probably)...but I have a better idea:
Betterman.
yeah I know, it sounds crazy but there'll be surely at least a good 5000 of us, certainly in Reading, out there in the middle of non-fans...enough to make a big noise..
Wouldn't you sit up and take notice if the opening song of a band you know hardly anything about had 5000 fecking people singing their heart out around you? without the singer prompting?
I sure as hell would go: 'What the fuck is that??!! and stick around to find out!
yes it's risky if there's not enough of us, but that start, with the rythm crescendo in the song to seal the deal on true rock...man I think it could really work!!
...because I'm worried that with the anti-PJ feelings in the british press, most non-fans there will be blased/negative...look at what happened with Morrisey at the V festival... would break my heart to see that at Reading..
ok, comment away, I'm ready to duck
