Matt Cameron "You Are" effect

Hello gearheads.

im very curious to know how matt got that effect on "you are" honestly i cant even tell if hes using a guitar or not. I want to play around with some effects/ other instruments. im a drummer myself but living in an apartment makes it hard to play unfortunately.

can anyone give me a rundown on what he uses and how?

Thank you!

Along with the synth, he uses a Sansamp Classic Distortion unit and a strat.
