Record Store Day Hauls?

Was great to see all the increased activity. It rally appeared to be 95% collectors/listeners. The news was there.

I browsed through the rsd releases. Nothing jumped out for the money. They had like 10 super unknown singles. Didn't pull the trigger.

I got the rsd Jaco Pastorius, then raided the used room. Got Ohio Players: Mr. Mean, Blues Brothers: briefcase full of blues, and bb king: live and well. With rsd discounts it cost me $29. Couldn't be happier. In a bluesy soul mood today I guess.

Yeah it does, I bought it more for the novelty. Spun it this afternoon and loved it. It'll get regular rotation!

What are the sites that usually put up leftover stock at night? Got shut out of Death Cab here in Chicago.
  • Soundgarden, Nirvana, Mudhoney, Hendrix and Slipknot. Would have loved to get the Cake, REM and Green Day but missed out.

Don't worry, I think almost 8000 of those were made. I grabbed one. It should be available for around the 30 bucks I paid for it.

I had to work this am so my shop was picked over pretty good. Was able to land the Yardbirds with the extra 7 inch though. I think I read only 200 were released to the US. Grabbed the Aerosmith Draw the Line and Hendrix at Monterey as well as the dead mentioned above.
It was cool that my record store had a bunch of mystery packs for 2 bucks each. Grabbed two bundles of 7s and 2 of the 12s. Scored a bunch of old neil diamond, lionel ritchie, bob seger, alabama, kenny rogers, mama cass, bryan adams, bruce Springsteen and tons of others. The cases are all beat to shit but the vinyl is incredibly clean.

RSD is getting crazier every year but I managed to get 2 of the 3 I was after. PIcked up "Screaming Trees: Last Words Final Recordings" on red vinyl and signed by Barrett Martin and Van Conner who were at Easy Street signing stuff. Also, Joy Division "An Ideal For Living". Then I got home and found out Mike McCready showed up to sign stuff. Damn.
