Went to Toronto for the Sunday show last year. It was perfect. Cheap, 4-5 bands I really wanted to see, not over-crowded. I'll be going this year, as well.

Cool. I'm thinking of going to this festival. Planning to go to the Toronto one because that's where I live.

Nice. I'm hoping they have a line-up this year to compete with last year's. Any reason to go to Toronto is cool with me. I'll be going up there in under a month to see Mogwai at the Danforth.

Kind of surprised they're coming back to Toronto - last years' event was papered quite a bit (I ended up winning a dozen tickets to each day through various contests). The Saturday lineup was crap, but the Sunday lineup was good - hopefully they'll have some good acts again this year.

I didn't go last year, but I did feel that Saturday didn't look that good, but Sunday looked interesting. For some reason, I have a feeling that The Offspring will play in at Riot Fest.
  • My wife and I have gone to this each of the last few years (Chicago).

Always a great time. Last year we had the weekend pass, but in years past we would buy just the day/show that we were most interested in.

Should be good this year seeing as though it's the fest's 10th anniversary.
  • I saw this for Riot Fest Toronto yesterday on Facebook:

"Dear Toronto, we can't wait to be back September 6th & 7th. Keep an eye out for some BIG announcements next week…"

I wouldn't be surprised if The Offspring and Rise Against will play at Riot Fest in Toronto because on that same weekend, they are both playing at a festival in Detroit.

That BIG announcement would be a BIG letdown.

Last year was quality over quantity. This year, not so much.
