What was the last cd you bought, and what did you think of it?

Share your thoughts and keep this thread updated!

Mine was a PJ bootleg from New Orleans Voodoo fest and I really enjoy it! It was my first boot.

The last cd i bought was Moonlander (Stone FUCKING Gossard !!!!) I enjoy it every day.

For PJ, I think i'll buy the bootleg from Vancouver ... heard it on the 10C radio, saw videos on You Tube, and i wish i would be there ...

That's awesome! You know, sometimes I forget Stone has solo stuff.. I really need to buy that one. Is it jammin? Or is it chill?

I bought the bootlegs of the three shows I attended last fall (SD, LAx2). Before that, it was probably NIN's Hesitation Marks on the eve of its release as select SoCal record stores had it the night before along with a raffle for tickets into their release day show at the 400 capacity Troubadour (I was one of 16 selected out of all entries!!!)
Sad to say, but with streaming now, the only time I buy CDs now is when there's some sort of enticement like tour pre-sale access or a chance at a show tied in.

Queens of the Stone Age! And no, I don't really buy cds often, and when I do, i usually listen to at least a couple of songs before I buy it. This time I didn't though. I was just getting into QOTSA at the time and had already listened to a few of their albums, so I figured I wouldn't be disappointed by it. And I wasn't because it's an amazing album :)

How is the Perfect Pussy box? I tried getting through a few songs but had a hard time with the production. I think I need to give it a good complete listen and not on a computer. I do like the live vids I've seen and am looking forward to seeing them at Pitchfork.

^ Yes at the quotes above. Perfect Pussy is a band.

Just like Thee Oh Sees they are much better as a live act. If you heard the live stuff first then the studio version will be disappointing. If you appreciate the studio then you'll love them live! Enjoy the show.
