Came out of the dugout at Fenway today and ran toward the third base side when they were announcing the line ups, lost his balance or tripped, starting flailing for three or four strides with arms pin-wheeling and promptly face planted in the dirt?

Nothing like a face plant in front of 34,000+ at the home team's home opener to humble a MLB player.

    I vote contraction. Get rid of Tampa & Miami. No one goes to those games. Did you see the Marlins opening day game? More empty seats behind home than occupied. Entire grandstand was empty. And two or three seasons ago when Tampa was ready to clinch the division, they still had to give 20k tickets away. And most of them went to visiting Orioles fans.
    Even leagues and even # of teams in each league if you contract those two. Problem solved.

    Agreed on demolishing tb and mia and demolish their disgraceful parks as well. Id go back to 2 - 7 team divisions in each league and gave 4 playoff teams in each league. Div winners get homefield and top two non div winners are wc.

    My wife is from tampa and her father and brother live there still. They are "big" rays fans now and I am a red sox fan. I went to one game on a random day without a ticket. Stopped at the bar outside (cool outdoor place) and waited until 30 minutes before the game and got a great ticket for $20. Went inside and sat wherever I wanted, 9 rows back behind the home dugout. They have the worst fanbase of a decent team in the league. Can 'em.
    Wind this thing up.
