So I have a project carbon ii turntable. and was wondering what is the best type of matting to use. I currently use a felt mat which came with the player this seems ok but collects a lot of dust, hair and crap etc affecting playback. I understand there are also cork and rubber mats available too. What are your preferences is one better than the other? I also heard no mat is necersary but i wouldnt trust putting my vinyl straight on a metal platter.
thanks for your feedback
