Rage Against the Machine takes down Simon Cowell and the x-factor single.

For a number of years Simon Cowell's winner of his x-factor show was almost guaranteed thenumber 1 slot as the christmas single. But a grassroots campaign, rage against the machine, and a tens of thousands of people changed that. They picked the rage song (fuck you I wont' do what you tell me!) over Simon Cowell;s plastic drone.

Rage won, and put on a free show in London. and 80,000 people showed up.
