Tool is the best band this century....discuss

The drums are so complex its hard to even follow them...adam jones just killing his guitar...and maynard with vocals tying it all together.

it hits you,,,Tool, their music, it brings about a new attitude. i'mnot pissed off at what happned, but I am pissed off. gonna go play my Washburn to release some of this angst.

I disagree. Donkey Kong is the greatest game ever.
  • The word BEST never should be used when talking about subjective content. It truly can only be used when dealing with pure objectivity. When used with subjective content it really means IN MY OPINION this subjective content is my favorite. With that being said Tool is in my opinion an amazing band and I can't wait for new music.

Only 2 albums and the fact that me of them is their weakest works against them, in this debate. I might make the argument that they're the greatest band since the 90s.

I love this band, but I'd have to agree with this comment.

I'm hoping that the new album has been well worth the wait.

They require a specific "mindset". And some of their fans, oh well, that's a different story.

Definitely need to be in the right mindset but when you are, they are up there.

For me it's gotta be MMJ, Jack White, or Ryan Adams. All of them have some tunes for any mood.

Disagree with the "mindset" belief; just gotta be in the mood to listen to good music. "Lateralus" is a work of genius, the other albums are awesome and all, but for me nothing like "Lateralus." If only there was more to listen to.

Big fan and hope we do get a new album this year, but I also wish MJK would do another perfect circle album.

And I wish they would do some east coast dates
