Why have "Ref Check" threads never caught on here?

When making purchases and trades on some other hobby forum websites I am involved in, ref check threads asking about users credibility are quite common. Why are they not used here in the Lost Dogs forum at all? I understand they are not bullet proof however giving people some props from prior deals can be comforting to parties involved. When the A+ trader list disappeared (not sure why?)that extra level of confidence disappeared so would this be against board rules to do? Simple like "ref check on User A and User B"...then a little feedback from people who have dealt with them.
Prior trades and purchases here I've made did feel like a bit of a gamble. I have another trade I'm working on with a boardie overseas and I got to admit, a little kudos from others would go a long way.

I sent a member on here a MONEY ORDER and they followed through like a champ.
He should have been rewarded with a thumbs up for sure.
