truly terrible you cant comprehend the size till they show it from the air .
hope nobody here has any one involved in it stay safe .

    Such an awful, awful way to die, let alone lose people you love...close to 200 it seems, counting those still missing.

    Even having seen the aerial views, I still can't fully get my head around it.

    amazing that they pulled a 4year old baby out those rescuers are an amazing bunch of people .

    Main cause seems to be all the rain but logging is probably a factor as well.

    I have a good deal of family up that way in WA but they are all safe. I really feel badly for those who lost love ones up there.

    It occurs to me that I live in a house that was built on a site that was carved out of a hillside. I shouldn't think about these things before bed time.
