    the red stalks look like baby rhubarb...ive never seen it growing quite like that...maybe it's a wild variety? :)

    indeed tulip magnolias are majestic. this one is old but still it's gorgeous and healthy...might be because it doesn't get alot of direct sun :)

    thanks justie, tho i gotta credit mother nature for making spring so pretty around here. we arrived here in late april of '89...you might see why i thought it was so worth sticking around :)

    I am really happy that my gardenia has survived outside. I like to bring the flowers inside and float them in a bowl of water for the scent.

    This is the time of year that my garden smells best because I have a lot of jasmine on the back fence too!

    that sounds like great aromatherapy... i've read about how southern ladies used to put gardenia petals in their bathwater...i image they did the same with jasmine

    put up pics when your jasmine blooms, please? :)

    Prism, I think the pink ones above are called Hawaiian Ti plants. They are used in landscaping a lot here in Tampa.

    I'm sorry I didn't see your request for jasmine until tonight. I'll put up a picture of some of that tomorrow. :)
