    How would you know if it was white then? If it was sealed that is...I do not think there is any markings distinguishing the white from the black...Just curious...Something to think about anyway...

    I agree. there are some on ebay from time to time but nothing to let you know its white. In fact there is one right now. I have asked the sellers how they know and i was given answers like "i know where i got it from" or "my friend got it from the only place that sold them" or " it was described as white when i bought it. Definitely something to think about for so much money

    i have seen ones that had a sticker on them saying white vinyl, i thought thats how they came from 10C?
    can anyone confirm this?

    Mine came from the 10c and there was no sticker.

    Nope. Mine is from 10C, and it is packaged exactly like the black vinyl version.

    I have a pair of them that I made both the sellers open prior to buying...We can all hope that the "seller is honest" and they are giving you a white BS...But when you go to open it in a few years down the road and its a $15 black one that you paid over $100 for thinking it was white...Damn..."To bad that seller wasn't honest" just doesn't do it for me...FYI...There where no stickers on any of mine either...

    I bought one from a 10C member and you can't tell at all so I had to open to make sure it was white vinyl. I won't ever play it anyway, so it will stay in mint shape in original shrink wrap.

    Speaking of stickers...anyone have an extra NOLA sticker from the 2013 tour?

    (and like everyone my White Backspacer came with no sticker and there are no distinguishing catalog number differences or anything else to set it apart other than opening it).

    I have noticed the printing on the spine of the white backspacer is shifted down as compared to the regular backspacer

    I've been trying to figure out what my sealed Backspacer vinyl is myself. The only discrepancies I've found are from pjcollectors.com, which shows the black vinyl and white vinyl as having different back covers - the white vinyl lacks a barcode and the plastic wrap seems to have small holes punched in four places, front and back.

    Anyone out there have both white and black copies that could verify the back of the jackets are different?

    I have a black and white Backspacer. The black one I have is the retail version, not 10C. The size of the print on the spine is different sizes from my retail version versus the 10C version of the white record, so it's easy to keep them straight.

    Decided to open my backspacer. Turns out it was black vinyl, so having/not having the barcode on the plastic wrap doesnt seem to indicate the difference between black or white vinyl like the pics on pjcollectors show, at least with my own experience. Guessing the barcode just differentiates a 10c copy from a retail copy?

    There really is no way to tell if it's white. What if you accidentally mix up the one with the smaller spine writing or the one you "know" is white etc... People screw up. I bought a shirt on here that was a Large and it turns out it was a Medium. People make mistakes.
    I sold a white BS a while back and stated to the seller that it WAS sealed but I was going to open it to make sure it was white before I shipped it--just to make sure! What if the buyer claims you sold them a black one after all (lies) because it was not verified when sealed. Only way to be sure is to open it before selling and open it when you (buyer) gets it.

    The sealed White BS is a tough one, I had one that I ended up trading, it came from two very trusted sources, (Dave then Lars) but it was always in the back of my mind that I should double check in case someone made a mistake.

    Thankfully it was all good.
