You know how Conservatives are always yearning for the past?
Well, how about yearning for the time, prior to the year 2000, when Americans used to identify themselves as Americans, first... and Republican or Democrat about 7th or 8th on the list?
Remember when the only campaigning we had to endure was between the last week of September to Election Day in November... only in the years when there was a Presidential General Election? And after the election, we went back to being Americans, again. Yeah, so our guy didn't win... but, we accepted the decision of the people. We still voiced our outrage about political and foriegn affair issues... but, we didn't see the people who were not in our political party as anti-American enemies.
And remember when most of us never even heard of mid-term elections? only about 5% of us turned out to vote for Senators and Congressmen and it really didn't matter what party they were in.
And best of all... those politically inept people weren't in play. You know, the ones who knew nothing about politics, but know everything about football. We never had to endure moronic political opinions that are based in the politics of fear and misinformation, rather than fact, truth and voting records of our representatives.
    ...
Those are the Good Old Days I wish the Conservative Americans would like to see returned to us. When we were basicaly one set of people... Americans.

this is like a fluff piece, no? I thought it was humorous because it's so fluffy and Obama says "sexy" which puts him on a level with bill clinton playin sax on arsenio hall... But since you didn't say anything about it, I wonder in what way it amused you?

    People still defend Obama...really?

The guy isn't the worst, but certainly the most ineffective joke of a president we have ever had. I didn't think anyone actually still believed in him or expected anything. The only person that would be worse is Hillary...and if you think Obama is a laughing stock, that will just completely destroy any credibility we have. I didn't think anyone could be worse than Bush but O really reinforced that one.

    Oh well, whatever.

before I read the story I laughed at the title "Obama trying to wake sleepy Dem's" it just reminded me of all the blame Bush stuff and now he's run out of people to blame so now he is blamming the voters...just what it looked like at first glance.

    Godfather.

GF, what's really sleepy is this forum. :))

    I shouldn't laugh- it's kind of sad.

But back to poli-ticks. Seems to me the whole political spectrum is the walking dead these days. ...unless you live in the Ukraine.
