She yelled this from the other room and prefaced it with "you're going to be really disappointed."

That is a terrible, terrible show, but it could be worse I guess. Maybe all it's hipster cred will make PJ trendy again. :))

She just said "Judd Apatow is the creator," which I didn't know. Makes sense.

Apatow is a producer on the show, not the creator. I agree that it's a horrible show LOL

I like the show. No super heroes, vampires or fucking zombies.
"All I Ever Knew" available now in print and digital formats at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and iBooks.

Well, to clarify, I don't think the show is made poorly or the acting is bad or anything like that. I just find Lena Dunham's "shock feminism" a tad bit irritating and counterproductive. And yes, the characters are very realistic and very, very unlikeable. That's fine and great to have authentic characters, but it doesn't make them any more watchable.

    That's all.

My husband can't stand the show either........

I hear what you're saying Vant0037.....the show isn't for everyone.....and Lena is a bit over the top for sure but I think that is what makes the show unique.......I do find that people either hate it or love it.....regardless it was cool to hear PJ on the show in my opinion.

Exactly. I haven't watched this season but it's just the most overrated show ever, I think. Wish I were exaggerating. It's not a BAD show like Real Housewives of (Insert City) or Better Off Ted or anything like that... it's ok and sometimes it can be funny. But people act like it's the greatest thing on TV. I believe the reason is because it was created (and often written or sometimes directed) by Lena Dunham. We expect mid-20 year olds to do nothing with themselves and because she actually did something it's looked upon like the greatest thing ever. If a man in his mid 40s (say Apatow) created the show, people would be like, eh... next.

HBO was running a marathon awhile back and after watching a couple episodes in a row - which were fairly funny in parts - I'd had enough. I like the bits here and there that I've seen since, but it's just not enough to make me search it out.

That said, there was a bit about jerking off / out some guy's kidneystone that was hilarious.

Late to the game - but very unexpected to hear Let the Records Play in Girls! Of all the bands and all the songs, and all the shows. Fun surprise.
