Well miles mean nothing in Atlanta so i'll talk about time.
In the morning I get in early so it is about an 15 minute commute.
In the afternoon on a normal day it is 30 minutes.

That said I feel very lucky with those times in Atlanta most folks commute 45 each way

48 miles? Holy hell! Where do you live?

I happened to luck out a few years ago with a great job half a mile from home. I honestly count my blessings for that quite often, as I used to have a much much longer and stressful drive on the to-and-fro.

Congratulations and good luck on your new job!
  • Before Florida I had a 50 mile commute... 90 minutes usually

I now have a 3/4 mile commute.... either walk (15-20 minutes) or drive 3 minutes

    6 km ... by bike ... 20 mins casually ...
  • Depends on the season I live about 20Km(about 12.5 miles) from work and it's about a 15-20 min drive but in the warmer months it turns into a 45 min commute because I bike it.

Hopefully most of your 48 miles highway driving and not a lot of stop and go because that is the part that would drive me nuts.

8 miles and it takes 20-25 minutes depending on traffic. I also drive to a lot of my assignments during the week.

40mins on public transport. I have no idea how many kilometres, or mile, it is. Takes me 15-20 mins to drive it on the weekend though.

35 miles. Takes me about 45 minutes to get to work and about an hour to get home. The only plus to this is that there is plenty of time to listen to music.

It's only about 35 feet or so away, and if there's no traffic I can get there in about 10 seconds. However, sometimes the hallway can get jammed with cat commuters, and that can extend my travel time.

    Home offices are nice. :)

But I have a part-time job every day about 15 miles away, and that takes me about 30 minutes to get to. When I used to drive for my full-time job, it was about 20 miles away and took me around an hour (stupid city traffic).

I'm lucky to be able to work from home 3 days per week. On the days I do actually go into the office, it's about 45 mins to get there and about 45 mins to an hour on the way home....so happy I don't have to do that everyday. I would lose it.

20 minutes. Just about a perfect time as it allows me to shake the cobwebs before getting to work.

I tend to listen to podcasts much more then I do music these days.

I have the same commute as kw :D Home offices do rock!

In Germany, I had a nice little walk of about 10 minutes to and fro each.
  • I'm less than 15 minutes from my work. Usually have it on PJ radio. I sometimes wish my commute was longer. I like driving.
