  • I will considerably respect your point of view, but I disagree. I personally think the New Orleans print is the best of the tour. But by all means; if you need it, you need it.
  • Imo Munk Pitt,Henry Philly 2, Emek Portland and Munk Char are the top 4 by a long shot. Matts did you attend the NO show?

I have mostly ames posters in my collection but noticed the actual print quality of the Munk posters is far superior. Does anyone find this with Munk's pressing company vs other artists?

I believe all PJ posters are done through D&L. Confirm anyone? I think the difference is the thought Munk One puts into paper and ink use vs Ames.

As much as I love the Pitt poster it's sure getting some amazingly overblown hype. It's a beautiful piece of art but I just can't see why people are willing to hand over so much to obtain one? It probably sits about 5th or 6th in my favourite PJ prints of the LB tour. Not belittling in in the slightest and I bet it looks stunning up close but is it the classic some are suggesting?

The market dictates that it is. Beyond that, art is subjective.

The whole poster just "fits" together. A lot of the posters have random skulls or eyeballs, or monsters with boom boxes. This poster has a simple theme but is just really, really well done.

It was one of the five shows I went to.

I guess that is what I like about it. Pittsburgh, steel, PJ, guitar, flying sparks. It's quite a celebration when you really look at it. I'd certainly hang it among my posters given the chance of one at a reasonable price but that looks very unlikely now. Flying eyeball monsters, a basketball playing yeti, a four eyed cowboy and a spray can next to a graffiti PJ logo represent just what is lacking at the moment. Even Brad Klausen, my favourite poster artist delivered that very poor effort for L.A.

Edmonton EMEK's started out high and gradually came down. So will Pittsburgh.

Actually Pitt started low and has only risen. It will only continue to rise further imo. This poster has PJ20 Ames and MSG Kong written all over it market wise.

I think as a few others have stated this poster just hits it right in so many areas. The steel worker pouring the guitar just screams Pittsburgh. The guitar represents the music. The colors just make the print come alive. Many of the posters are just random images that have seemingly nothing to do with the band or the city its taking place in. If this much thought went into all the prints WOW what a collection it would be. Munk One, Brandon Heart and Dayne Henry, these guys are raising the bar, Ames Bros need to step up their game.

It has been a while since I liked a Klausen PJ poster. He was on a roll for a while though.

At least it works as bumps :)

Agree on Klausen, he has some classics but (understandably) seems to be a bit tapped out on PJ ideas IMO.

Pittsburgh poster is awesome, done by an artists the PJ world is pumped about. Think this will be a classic.
