Stockholm and Oslo - travel tips/ideas/help

Is anyone doing these two shows? Any thoughts on travel plans? Best/chepeast/easiest way between the two cities?
The best plan I've come up with thus far is
- Fly into Stockholm the weekend prior (22nd) and go to the show on the 29th
- Leave on a morning train on the 30th and hopefully get to Oslo by mid-afternoon
- Go to the Oslo show on the 30th
- Take the morning train back to Stockholm on the 2nd and fly home that night
Seems like adding Oslo to any of my flight plans increases the price exponentially, hence the trip back to Stockholm...
I had planned to spend more time in Sweden as I have a friend who is from there, and I've heard that it's a little bit cheaper. I'd also like to try to travel out of Stockholm (by train?), and I'm hoping to find some sort of train pass that will allow me to do this and also cover the back-and-forth to Oslo
Any recommendations as to which parts of the cities I should stay in? (I plan to hit as many museums as I can)
Or where else to go in Sweden?
I'll likely be alone too, so if anyone's doing anything fun...
(This also means I may have an extra 10C GA ticket for both shows if my intended guest can't make it)

You should try www.norwegian.com

for stockholm - oslo -- oslo - stockholm, its about 600 NOk, and thats about 92$
not sure if this link works..
http://www.norwegian.no/fly/velg-flyvning/?D_City=ARN&A_City=OSL&TripType=2&D_Day=28&D_Month=201406&R_Day=30&R_Month=201406&AdultCount=1&ChildCount=0&InfantCount=0

oh, awesome! Thank you
I was preparing myself for the long train ride, but even having to add the baggage fees and airport transportation to this it is much cheaper. more time on the ground is always a plus

Are you flying from the states? I actually am finding solid offers for flying into AMS then leaving Oslo on SAS. Might get expensive staying in the Nordic countries as I've noticed costs a lot higher than most of Europe0

I am flying into Stockholm from Berlin (after the show); staying 2 days then flying to Oslo. From Oslo back to Amsterdam for a couple of days before returning home. We are staying at the Radisson Blu Waterfront in Stockholm and Lysebu Hotel in Oslo. Would be glad to hook up for a cocktail.0

I have tickets for Amsterdam 1 and Stockholm, but there's a slight chance I won't be able to attend Amsterdam 1 due to work. Still trying to find out where they want me to be on 16 June and I can't fly in on the morning of the 17th
So now I'm extra excited to have tickets for Stockholm. We're flying in from Amsterdam on Norwegian to Stockholm on the 28th for the show on 29. Staying at a Radisson too, not sure it's the waterfront though.
If anybody is flying in via Amsterdam and doesn't have connecting flights yet, Norwegian is probably your best option as they are cheap.
See you all there!

thank you all for the tips... I'm all booked and ready to go... the Norwegian site just would NOT let me buy a ticket (credit card wouldn't work?) but there were SAS flights that weren't much more, and I can pick up those FF miles, sooo...
Flying from CLT on the 21st, ARN on the 22nd, staying just around the corner from the Radisson at Central Hotel then flying to OSL the morning of the 29th, staying at the Best Western Karl Johan and then back to CLT early on the 2nd.
Can't wait to get some real shows in and get the festival taste out of my mouth
I missed the meetup in Gold Coast but hopefully will find one before one of these two shows.
Looking forward to it... Cheers!2003-04-15: Raleigh, NC
