SAN DIEGO — A divided federal appeals court on Thursday issued a decision in a San Diego County case that could upend the way California issues concealed-weapon permits and open the door for many legal gun owners to carry loaded weapons, including in their cars.

The opinion, issued by a three-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, said law-abiding citizens are allowed to carry firearms outside of the home for self-defense. The decision reversed a lower court’s ruling that had denied an independent journalist’s ability to carry a concealed weapon in the county.

I hate to see a thread so ignored so let's see...

Ok, how about this: Allow concealed weapons in your car as long as you are able to conceal you car. Makes about as much sense to me. OK- ATTACK! (or kiss me on the bus).

    Hahaha, yes,

"Smart Car, The Pocket Sized Car (TM)".

So the article talks about permitting certain CA drivers to carry LOADED guns. I'm not very confident that they can tell exactly who might, just might have a little fit of road rage and hastily reach for that loaded weapon and take out the bozo who just cut them off or got a little too close to their bumper. Of course it might be a great way to reduce traffic congestion in places like L.A.
