One of PJ's most underrated songs. I usually don't try to decode what a song is about. For me, I take what I hear and make it my own. I really don't want anyone telling me how I should feel when I hear a song.

When I hear sleight of hand, I envision someone who is alone and stuck in a job that tears at his soul. Finally one day (end of song), he decides to leave everything behind and drives off down a long road to explore the beauties of the world.

    Lucky enough to have heard this in Manchester 09. Great song, very atmospheric. the solo, as short as it is, sounds great. love the crunching guitars coming in the chorus and of course, some great lyrics

    This song reminds me lots of souvenirs (good or bad, i don't know but can't stay indifferent). When i hear it, I'm full of emotions ....and need to stay alone for a while.
    So underrated!

    Every time I hear this song, it makes me think of my hubby ..... he doesn't like his job much, but as the "man of the house" he gets up early every day, puts on his uniform (and his work face) and gets on with things ... He does it because he loves me and our daughter, but this song always makes me sad ... makes me feel guilty ....
