Soundgarden Headlining Sasquatch #2!!

Woke up this morning to the news that Soundgarden is headlining Sasquatch Weekend #2 at the Gorge! To my knowledge, this is the ONLY US show that's announced for SG thus far this year!

This is the first year Sasquatch is expanding to two weekends, Memorial Day weekend and 4th of July Weekend. Dates for Weekend #2 are July 4-6, and I'm assuming SG is closing the show down on July 6th. Some other pretty cool bands playing that weekend with them, including New Order, Kraftwerk, Broken Bells, and Tegan and Sara. Tickets - not cheap. $325 for a weekend pass (which includes camping on the grounds for all 3 days). Show info can be found here:

As you all know, The Gorge is a fantastic venue (saw SG play there in '11) and it would be killer to see them there again - with or without Matt C :-S . If my memory serves, they do end up selling single day passes but no idea when or how much they are.

  • That's a really, really, really solid undercard for both weekends. I think if they had another headliner or two that I want to see I would make the trip. So much good music and a reason to go see The Gorge.

I agree. Move QOTSA from Weekend 1 to Weekend 2 and I'm probably there.

Not overly impressed with Weekend #2, but the lineup for Weekend #1 is great!

Headliners are stronger in weekend 1 but I prefer the undercard of weekend 2. Junip, Cass McCombs, Golden Panda, Kurt VIle, Of Montreal, very very strong,

I doubt SG will be as good without Matt. He's one of the reasons I like SG live.
  • I'm still bitter about the awful show they played in Vancouver a year back.
