I can't believe we got to the bottom of page 2 before someone mentioned Rodrigo y Gabriela!
It always amazes me that it's Gabriela that belts out the percussive rhythms, while Rodrigo plays the delicate leads. She's got hands of steel!https://youtu.be/l-qgum7hFXk
I'd like to add one of my all time favourite guitar players - Jack Rose!
Another that was taken far too young (he was only 38 when he passed), I highly recommend checking him out if you are a fan of acoustic guitars. It doesn't matter where you start: 'Opium Musick', 'Raag Manifestos', 'Luck in the Valley'... take your pick!https://youtu.be/j1KzsyUafrw

I can't believe I have not yet mentioned Rich Millman from the band Carlton Melton. If any of you like this, please consider picking up one of their great records like "Pass it on...", "Out to Sea" or Photos of Photos".
Here's "When You're In" from "Pass it on..." (that's my buddy Andy Duvall on drums):https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sk72m8CQw_k

No mention of Richard Thompson yet? Or is he in the "etc." portion of the "Gods" list?

I really love the guitar sounds that Mike Johnson contributed to Mark Lanegan's early albumshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HvNRM9j_5yc
