The Waiting video

did anyone watch the new re-released tom petty's dvd running down a dream? i read somewhere that they put a full video of eddie singing "the waiting" with tom petty this time. does anybody know where can i watch this video? it's a great sounding eddie on this song! i love it!

    there are some clips on youtube, but i haven't seen really good quality
    "All I Ever Knew" available now in print and digital formats at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and iBooks.

    For those who may be interested, I highly recommend checking out the entire film "Running down a dream". Yes, Eddie is on there performing with the Heartbreakers, but the film itself is excellent---check it out. Tom Petty is the man!!!

    The film is amazing. One of the best rock doc's out there. Tons of material with this one. Documentary, Concert, CD of Unreleased material.

    Well worth the money and...

    The Eddie part is really cool!!

    are you talking about the re-released dvd? i have running down a dream dvd that was released in 2007. what's the difference in the new release except the full video of "the waiting"?

    can you capture the waiting video and upload it?

    There were 2 different versions of "Running Down A Dream" released in 2007. One was basically just the film...The 2nd release included a bonus Concert DVD as well as a CD of Unreleased and Live Songs.

    "The Waiting Video" is on the Special Features.

    I'm a bit confused now. I have the version that is a documentary with a bunus concert dvd. There is just a 30 seconds clip of "the waiting" when Tom tells us how he discovered this riff and how he played it for like 14 days non stop.

    But i found this yesterday:
    "Vedder also appears on a new edition of Tom Petty's DVD "Runnin' Down A Dream" which is set for release on October 28, 2008. In this new version, the Pearl Jam singer is interviewed and is also featured in the DVD bonus performing "The Waiting" (integral version) from Petty's show in Denver on June 30, 2006."

    Vedder is interviewed in the version that I have. He talks about how "all the ladies just fucking loved Tom Petty" and "Take That Ladies" because he get's to play on the same stage as Petty after this they go into "The Waiting" which is a short clip of Vedder singing. The MTV video of "The Waiting" is on the bonus features.

    Maybe the interview and clip are longer on the 2008 version...Kind of weird that there's all these different versions of the movie out there...

    I bought "Running Down A Dream" in 2007 and had no idea that Eddie would be on there...It was a pleasant surprise...but I doubt I'll re-buy this for an extended version of Eddie's interview or a full live version of "The Waiting".

    You Tube will probably have it if I was ever in the mood to see it anyways.

    Either way...Awesome movie.
