Was wondering, after playing a rather large world tour in 3 legs, do you think they will return to the States again in very late 2006 or 2007 at all? Or wil lthat pretty much be it? Curious...
Lucky Europeans and Australia get em when they will be a well oiled machine...

They'll have to. They still haven't announced shows anywhere south of DC outside of CA.

As it stands right now, no one really lnows for sure. An interview with Mike around the end of April indicated that the band would make the decision after they finish Australia in November. They could do more touring, or just dcide to take time off, and then head into the studo.
A canadian journal interview with Jeff indicated that Jeff said, "the band was not playing places they normally should be like Texas and Florida." He also said that as the band members are getting older, it is harder to tour as long."

I didn't like what I heard from those two interviews, but as of now, it is still up in the air for now. Considering we don't have an offical word yet, maybe the band is still pondering the decision.

I think at this point in their careers they'll be playing as they see fit. Maybe hteir tour was to cover the globe more than to cover the states. Maybe they're planning a southern leg only if they have the strength and sanity to tour that long.

I know I'm a spoiled Chicago person to get two shows, but I doubt they'll miss you guys completely. In the meantime, though, I'd highly recommend finding an old friend in the city of one of the tour stops and check out a show as soon as you can... it really feels something special this time around.

I see where you are coming from and I agree. And as such there is no guarantee that they will COME BACK through the south. I think they will do something in Seattle, but I'm starting to doubt they'll play anything near me.

    Lastima.
I'm so glad I decided to head west this summer.... thank you K! :)

I had asked this question earlier also. There are playing in San Diego and Vegas this year and missing Phoenix. Why? I think playing Phoenix outdoors in late 06 or early 07 would be great. The weather is cool and perfect for concerts. The last time they were in Phoenix was June of '03 and it was HOT. Wait until the end of the year and enjoy the cool weather.

Former Minnesotan now a Floridian graduate student, I am saddened that no shows have been announced in the West Palm Beach area. I anticipated multiple Florida shows when I made the move and have had to suffer a double kick in the ass with two shows announced in St. Paul and with PETTY no less. Had I known for sure that PJ was not going to come within 1000 miles of South Florida, I probably would have flown up to Minnesota, but then again, I am a poor graduate student. My plea to PJ-Please come down to South Florida. I need to hear some great live music to help me keep my sanity in this fucked up jebbushland they call Florida, and am too busy furthering my education and too poor to make any long trips. Please lend your voice, guitars, drums, and B3 to help get Jeb out of office and help me keep my sanity. I need a great live show, or two, or three.....

i'm kicking myself for not getting tickets to the D.C. show. that's the one nearest me. after these last few shows, i'm just getting more depressed at the thought that i might not see them at all this tour.

BUT, on the bright side, i'm still psyched about buying some new AMAZING bootlegs! :)

Umm, Jeb's in his last term and definitely won't be back in office.

But yeah, play Florida! I'm thinking a double in West Palm and a night in Tampa sound good.
