Neil Young and the Oilsands

Thought this was an interesting article. Yes it is subjective to the point of view of the writer who's paycheque is ultimately but indirectly supplemented by Big Oil.

Not intending to open a new debate on the Oil sands.

The problem is, if Neil just scaled down to an acoustic guitar and a back back and thumbed his rides he wouldn't be able to continue to make the same impact he does now. Yeah, it does seem a little over the top but let's put Neil up against your average person trying to spread the word on environmental concerns, someone like, say.... me. I work very hard to get the word out on the environment but truthfully, pound per pound of carbon output per person reached out there I think Neil has me beat hands down. Oh, and let's also consider pound per pound how much I've reached out and helped people, entertained people and made the world a better place. Again, Neil wins, hands down. But to give myself a little credit, I do give it my best shot. But hey, no complaints about NY from me, that's for sure.

    Good for Uncle Neil.
