That one sale adjusted the values of the entire pearl jam vinyl universe .
Self titled and riot act are now revolving a $500 sun .
    Hopefully it's just a spike
no time this time to feign reluctance

So 20 records at $30 each should be $600 right?

    Just saying.

If I was a Pearl Jam record fan/dealer I would make available records at said price to keep it in the hands of fans (just like PJ preaches)

Even the band doesn't sell their back catalog for that cheap. Records sold at the 10club convention are marked up, bud still less than eBay.

Ok. Fair enough. How about $40/record to adjust for inflation and all that other crap. All I know is that PJ has always strived and kept prices at the right rate for the fans.

I hate to break it to you, but it's not that way anymore. The asking price for studio LP's by the band at the convention was in the hundreds, depending on the album.

When the albums go onsale, yes. A few years after, absolutely not.

Granted some of their profits go to charity...I think

Oh? Pretty sure that ST and Binaural were being sold by 10c at last year's poster convention for $75 of something, and they were selling Bennys for $350. FYI, vinyl is collectible. That which has a high demand appreciates in value just like any other collectible item. Do you also think that rare nickels sought after by coin collectors should go for $0.05? Or maybe $0.10 now to account for inflation?
