I downloaded their self titled album today. good stuff. i am a little jealous of those of you that will get to see them open for pj. i always make it to the show early enough to see the opener. and lately i have been disappointed. death cab sucked, in 05 i saw some band from canada and then mmj this year. but wolfmother is pretty good.

so if you aren't familar with them i would check them out.

i was thinking along those same lines. wolfmother reminded me of a mix of sabbath and the white stripes.

maybe i'll give the kings of leon a listen

    KOL and Wolfmother....

I've seen KOL live....I like their sound a lot! Youth & Young Manhood is the best of their 2 albums so far.

Haven't seen Wolfmother yet....like their Zepplin-esque sound a lot, too. Collassal is my favored tune of theirs, so far.

Getting to either of these bands open up would be brilliant. Neither better than the other to me, yet. Just two excellent and distinctly different bands.

SOME band from Canada?! Man, you're talking about Wintersleep!!! They're one of the best young bands in Canada right now, and they're amazing live!

Wolfmother are fun for what they are, but everything about them has been done EXACTLY the same way on MANY occasions in recycled rock 'n' roll history...

if you say that about Wolfmother you could put Pearl Jam in the same bracket aslo.

I am jealous of the lucky PJ fans in Europe who get to see them open... and Black Keys too! Hopefully they'll bring both bands back to the US in 2007... :)
