Real or fake rhcp signatures?

A student of mine has really bad cancer and has been on bed rest for some time. Turns outt he is a huge chili peppers fan. A bunch of teachers are going to pool our money and try to get him a signed guitar by the rhcp. Was wondering if this was real or fake sigs. Thanks guys!

I have a print of a signed photo of theirs on my wall in the basement and the signatures look the same to me, otherwise pretty tough to tell. Maybe google image search signed stuff by them and compare the signatures. I have heard other ways to be sure of authenticity is for imperfections in the signatures. Meaning, if they signed on an uneven part of the guitar did the pen/marker slip a bit, did it smudge at all with their hands holding it? etc... In my experience, imperfections in the signatures can be a good thing. I learned that from a guy who was buying some signed football helmets that I had.

Very nice gesture by the way. I had a friend lose a battle with cancer when we were 25, hate that fucking disease. (pardon my language)

  • Why don't you email their fanclub/site/forum and see if anyone knows anything there.

Looks good. Asking price is surprising low to me though. For a whole guitar signed.
I know its not going to be a high end model, but.

You're basically just paying for the signatures. Too bad they didn't just sign the pickguard.

It does say that it comes with a certificate of authenticity. So that's a good sign.
