So to me, this is just a fun sounding song about a guy who is drinking to take away the pain.
But what does 'Kingdom' mean in regards to this song?

I love this song. Mike's solo is a most eloquent heated argument! The song's fuzzy tone like a blown speaker and the guitar in the beginning make me think this crusty old character at the turntable is an inner/alter ego who's damned happy to be alone ... noting the change from "he" to "I."

"Kingdom come" could be that point where you feel the soul in you is about to be snuffed out. Headphones absent, I've put the phone's speaker to my ear to listen to a song that grounds me.

This thread made me plat that tunes. I love it.
It's not among my favourites of Lightning bolt, but it's still very strong.
Great to have it stand on it's one in terms of styling.
I feel it matches nicely with Red mosquito.

This song is so hilarious in their catalogue that I have to love it. Its a rude tune, I love everything they have ever done (You Are excluded) but this one is so far off the mark its actually interesting to hear.
