I like the winter too! Way better than having allergies in the spring...

I like the winter for exactly 3 days, and 1 snow day. After that, I hate it. Bring back summer!

It's not that bad out in NY. Feels refreshing.

It warmed up a bit here since this morning. From -24°C to -22°C imageimage

These are the lowest temperatures I have ever experienced and they kind of scare me (and I studied a winter semester in Finland...). Good thing is tomorrow the worst will be over. I pity the bird, the bunnies, the kitties, the mail man, and everybody who has to do stuff outside today.

I love the winter when it's "warm" enough to spend time outside. Snowmobiling, walking, sledding, whatever. This is a tad too much right now.

I really like the change of seasons. Couldn't live somewhere where it is constantly warm or cold. However, negative whatever it is right now outside is toooo cold for me.

and I thought this thread was about having a cold as in being sick, which I am :(

I love the winter. And I'll go further.... I actually hate the summer. It's too fucking hot. I dread the coming of summer all year long, and can't fucking wait for it to end when it gets here ..... I do like sunshine though. Give me -3C and sunny for the rest of my life and I'd be thrilled.

I loved the weather today but I also work indoors (and feel terrible for those who do not)

Ha! Me too - and I was born in the damn summertime.

AND I was born and live in almost-constantly-warm-and-sunny Los Angeles. I absolutely love when our weather has some bite to it.

That said, I would be a complete pussy if I lived on the east coast and had to experience what those there are going through right now.

Yeah, I do agree on that. It drags, especially living in Western New York... but then, that makes those first few warm snaps in the Spring that much more awesome

I love the winter. I'm a true Canadian prairie boy.

Grew up playing hockey in the "coldest rink in Saskatchewan"
Grew up getting all bundled up and playing street hockey with friends
Grew up hunting in the deep snow with my dad and his buddies and their sons my age
Grew up hangin out at my buddies farm, doing chores in the dead of winter. I remember breaking ice in the ponds so the animals could drink then playing on the same ponds and breaking through and soaking our snow pants, jackets, boots... and obviously ourselves. Inside to warm up and hot chocolate!
Grew up shoveling myself out of big snow banks I'd get my truck stuck in while hunting
Grew up ice fishing with dad, grandpa and the uncles and buddies my age
Grew up hittin the "slopes" in Saskatchewan (a few of you may understand the humor there)

    I love winter too.

I like the fact that I can get in my car or on a plane to experience winter...then ultimately come home where it's not fn cold! haha

I feel the same way about feeling too warm as most people do about feeling too cold. It's an unpleasant feeling for me. If it's over maybe 20C I'm not too happy about it.

That's right! You can put on enough clothes to stay warm, but you can't take enough off to cool down.

Maybe thats why the ice cold beer, margaritas, and rum drinks are so prevalent down here. But you're certainly right. :ar!

Oh yeah! I never drink whiskey, but there was one time that my only mode of transportation was a little motorcycle and it was 28 degrees F and I was working as a dishwasher (North Florida). My clothes were wet for the ride home. I drank half a bottle of whiskey that night when I got home and the first sip -- I could feel go to every inch of my extremities, warming me up like lava.
