Sympathetic Lies

She exhaled slowly a cloud of sympathetic lies
Into the air of deception
In a room of false disguise .

The serpent moves in liquid motion
Between the lies and false tales that drip from painted walls
While the eyes of elders look on from portraits of stained and broken glass
Smoke fills the room.

Flashes of light that break the silence find their misguided path
Leaving a tale of sympathetic lies behind the disguise of Camelot
There are no more tears to cry.

If your ghost were to say to me tomorrow that you loved me
Will the cloud of sympathetic lies vanish in the air of deception
Will you look on thru a portrait of stained and broken glass
Or will you move in liquid motion thru your lies.

Happy birthday mr.president is playing on the radio
As the cold war warms the room
And She exhaled slowly a cloud of sympathetic lies
Into a room of false disguise.

    THANK YOU ! , I wrote it about Jacki O and the deciption of Camelot for her with the Kennedys "happy birthday Mr.President is playing on the radio" is my way of speaking of Marilyn Monroe's affair with John Kennedy and the pain it must have caused Jacki.
