"Who didn't want him Dead ?"

New York (CNN) -- The headline on the New York Post's cover Sunday about the kidnapping and killing of a Brooklyn man drew heavy criticism and left some calling for an apology from the newspaper known for being provocative.

The cover featured a photo of Menachem Stark, 39, accompanied by the words, "Who didn't want him dead?"

Stark was found dead in a trash bin Friday with several injuries to his body, Sgt. Lee Jones of the New York Police Department told CNN.

I can't say I care too much if The Post had a headline that is in bad taste against a slum lord. I wouldn't have approved it if I were the editor, but I am not offended either.

I have to edit scumbags who nearly destroyed my country all day, but I still take solace in the fact that I don't have to write heartless headlines for New York Post.

I was a little surprised that the post printed that. Even if what they are reporting is true, it leaves them wide open for a lawsuit. Which I think the family is persuing.

The hat he was wearing in the photo should at least have provoked a mild beating.

They guy paid the piper. Treat others as you would treat yourself and you can avoid post-mortem headlines mocking your demise.

I'd like to sue that newspaper myself. It's shameful to promote to people that it's OK to wish someone is dead.
