Pearl Jam To Headline Lollapalooza ’07
Posted: Fri., Mar. 02, 2007 09:47:01 AM MST

CHICAGO (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) -- Pearl Jam, the breakout superstar of the original Lollapalooza touring festival in 1992, will return to headline the retooled three-day fest in Chicago in 2007.

The godfathers of grunge will be the featured act at the August 3-5 event in Grant Park. Organizers don’t plan to announce the rest of the 130-band line up or put tickets on sale for several weeks, most likely in late March or early April.

The Chicago Sun-Times confirmed that Eddie Vedder and company will play the Chicago show in the middle of their U.S. tour, following a month-long jaunt across Europe in June that includes several major music festivals.

Stay tuned to CelebrityAccess for more details on this summer’s Lollapalooza as they become available. --by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers

One can dream... it will probably be a south/midwest tour only, and probably include a couple homecoming seattle shows.

Will Probably include most of these cities (in no particular order)...
    Kansas City
    St Louis
    Miami
    Tampa Bay Area
    Dallas/Fort Worth
    Chicago (lollapalooza)
Austin/San Antonio (Possibly Austin City Limits Festival?)
    Houston
    Indianapolis
    Atlanta
    Nashville/Memphis
    Charlotte
    New Orleans/Baton Rouge
    Pheonix
    Philadelphia
    Seattle

    And Just Maybe...
    Oklahoma City
    Des Moines/Ceder Rapids
    Springfield or Champaign Illinois
    Salt Lake City
    Omaha
    Denver
    Albuquerque
    Boise
    StL 7/2/98, StL 10/11/00, NYC MSG 7/8/03, NYC MSG 7/9/03, Chicago 5/16/06, Chicago 5/17/06, Bridge School 10/21/2006, Bridge School 10/22/2006, Lollapalooza 08/5/06

all right, all right, so maybe we won't get 36 shows across the whole continent...so let me change my suggestion, paring it down to 15-20 shows total (b/c i couldn't possibly leave out my home state):

    First Leg (Midwest/Southeast - 12 shows in 12 cities):
    Detroit
    Chicago (Lollapalooza)
    St. Louis
    Dallas
    Houston
    New Orleans
    Nashville
    Cincinnati
    Pittsburgh
    DC
    Charlotte
    Atlanta

Second Leg (West Coast - 8 shows in 6 cities):
San Diego (SDSU Open Air Theatre)
    Los Angeles (Greek Theatre)
    Santa Barbara (Santa Barbara Bowl)
    Berkeley (x2) (Greek Theatre)
    Portland (Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall)
    Seattle (x2) (Moore Theater)

    That's 20 shows in 18 cities.

    yadda
    blahblahville
Chicago (Lollapalooza) - This puts us at early August, correct?
    Somewhere
    Who cares?
    Vaginatown
    Mango City
    Blah Blach
    Yebo
    Zedoit
    Waginton Q7
New Orleans, LA (Voodoo Fest 07)
  • Don't leave out Omeehaw!

Much better venue than anything in Iowa
