FT: Red LB + Sevens for a Benny Hall?

Hey everyone,

Worth a shot, right?? I guess I'll mention that I didn't pick up Sevens with this in mind - it only occurred to me after I saw someone else suggest the involvement of Sevens in a Benny trade. My holy grail is the Benny, so maybe this will get one to me?? I can assure you that it will be played a LOT. :D
I am looking for vinyl that is in NM- condition or better.... so basically, I need it to play perfectly, or I'm not interested. I am not overly picky about the condition of the packaging, although I don't want it to be destroyed or missing. Sooooooooooooo...... any takers?? I think these two items together would go for what? $650 right now?? I can throw in another $150.

Oops, almost forgot - I should qualify the red LB. It comes with all the bells and whistles - stickers, but didn't come with a postcard. The record plays fine (played once to check). There is a small, faint black flaw on it near the label, like a little streak. Not sure what that is, but that's how it came. Not a big deal, but it's probably not for anyone thinking about framing it. It doesn't affect play or anything. I can send a photo if anyone wants to see it.

The Sevens would be sealed of course.

Not sure. I just saw a Sevens set on eBay NOT sell for $350. Seems like its value is decreasing more and more with so many people saturating the market with them.

Uh, yeah, that's Benny Hill, lol. I have noticed that you have a problem with this nickname people have given the Benaroya Hall LP. Not sure why it bugs you (are you related to the guy the theatre is named after or something??), but people aren't going to stop using it, so you might want to just accept it? ;-)

FTR, there are several copies of Sevens on the 'bay' that are up to the $330+ amount that will sell for at least that or more.

Oh what do you know PJ_Soul, you have the audacity to use "PJ" in your screen name.... a clearly blasphemous nickname. I also heard that sometimes Edward goes by Ed, Matthew goes by Matt, Michael goes by Mike, and Jeffrey goes by Jeff.... who the hell do those guys think they are????

Cause it's moronic... It's a venue called Benaroya Hall, it's not a person. Unless your a teenage girl, it sounds dumb. It saves you "3" whole key strokes.

Yea, I think the days of $500 are gone, I bet most will go for under $400. Oversaturation of the market to quickly with all these 10C flippers.

Last 6 to sell on ebay.
    $344.99 - BIN
    $344 - Auction
    344.99 - Auction
    $360 - Auction
    $375 - BIN
    $428.99 - BIN

Now we have to see if the value goes up over years.

Honestly I think with lots of people they don't want to misspell Benaroya, so they go with Benny or Ben.

Whatever, I'm breaking balls but anyone that made it through elementary school could spell it out phonetically. There's spell check & google on just about every computer nowadays too...

  • This happens with any product. It'll drop cause everyone just got there's and when they start to dry up, it'll go back up. It's not rocket science...

Fine, it's moronic. But no offense, posting on every thread where the user has shortened it, and you darn well know they are aware of the full name, is childish.

Yeah, i'll just keep calling it the Benny, lol. :P It's not from laziness or not knowing the actual name. It's just a matter of familiarity, like with any other nickname. No big deal!

So the chances of trading Sevens for a Binaural and Riot Act are dwindling?

Well sealed is an impossibility, but it might still be a reasonable deal if they were used IMO. It would all come down to the condition of the albums i think! Finding someone willing to give up Pearl Jam's two best albums might be the hard part. :D

I like to call it Benny, and I mean it as a term of endearment. It makes the adventure of getting one less intimidating imageimage

    Well I'd take NM!

  • Actually, I met two morons in the pop-up line that actually thought it was called Benny... Everyone was ripping on them, I picture those two idiots every time I read "Benny".

  • PJ is an abbreviation, not a nickname... "Benny" is a nickname

^^^ Fair enough. If they were in the pop up line to score a "Benny" and they really thought that was the full proper name, then they have a nickname too.... EBay Flippers!

Anyone who has went to elementary school knows there are various forms of 'there' that need to be used in different situations. For example, the 'there's' you used was done so in error. The correct 'there' you should have applied given the context was 'theirs' indicating possessive instead of 'there is'.

If you are going to busy yourself 'busting balls'... then at least try and model the behaviour you are demanding from everyone.
