As a resident of Colorado I can tell you for sure that the state is not operating any pot shops. They've licensed them but are not operating any.

if the day should come that the fed's legalize this stuff I'll be waiting for companys like Phillip Morrise to tottaly corner the market and that seems like it would draw too much attention from the fed's in the way of tax's...the federal government never misses an opertunity to tax the crap out of anything they can......which by the way will keep the black market alive much like the moonshiners today.

2 reasons that recreational pot use was legalized in Colorado. ..
    1. Most people don't care anymore about pot use
    2. The opportunity to tax the he'll out of it and improve school systems statewide.

There is so much pot produced in Colorado and it is so cheap that having a huge tax on it won't hurt

"Let the jokes and puns begin -- stoned or not."

Even Colorado NORML is being cheeky about it, posting online a list of what's allowable under the new recreational pot law.

    It's called "Doobie-DOs."

It seems that with a quick search that it might be an urban myth that cigarette companies have trademarked names and brands related to medical or legal marijuana.

There appears to be no evidence that any cigarette companies have done this.

The real question is what taxes will the government lower to offset the increase in revenue they will get from marijuana. The real answer is none of them.

I read this in a Maxim or Playboy a long time ago. I understand either of those plus questionable memory do not equal truth. But I still believe it is possible.
