What's with all the weird foods for New Years? Everybody knows you're supposed to eat blackeyed peas! :P
My wife made a blackeyed pea recipe 2 weeks ago.
Peas, peppers, spices, ham, in a slow cooker for 6 hours.
    Good Stuff!

Hoppin' John for New Years Day is a must. You get the pork and black eyed peas in one.

When my mom gets into town, I'll see if I can make a copy of her recipe and shoot it your way. It is awesome.

are you going to have pork and sauerkraut for new year's day dinner?
    :P

    That's an idea.

apparently some people think it's good luck to eat that on New Year's day. I think it's to get the worst meal of the year out of the way. ew.

Pork and sauerkraut are amazing, so...
