  • The Sonys are nice. They're actually cheaper than the beats. Tried them both on and Sony ones are more comfortable and sound better. Not saying they are the best out there, as I haven't tried many more recently. But, comparing the 2 (and the Bose cheaper ones), I liked the Sonys the best.
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.
  • Sennheiser HD598...or any upper level Sennheiser. Good design, great sound. :)
  • V-Moda makes fantastic headphones...

Audiotechnica ATH-M50's get great reviews. I currently have Klipsch in-ear S4's that I like for using at the gym. There are plenty of reviews on Youtube that support the notion that the aforementioned M50's are superior to the Beats headphones and they're much cheaper.

    'Good luck to you
  • Sennheiser or Audiotechnica make a quality headphone.

It's shitty that things that 'feel good' are bad for you: loud music makes you lose your hearing; the sun gives you skin cancer; the best tasting food is the worst for you; etc.

Really makes you make trade offs.

I've had numerous sets of headphones (Sennheiser, Bose, Beats, Monster, Sony, etc.). Consistently, Bose outperforms all.

Someone mentioned the V Moda headphones earlier. Very underrated ear buds.

I picked up a pair of Sony MDR-1R headphones a month ago, relatively happy with them, I think I paid 265, but recently saw a pair at Costco for 179.

My only issue is the use of too much plastic, nevertheless they feel solid and are really comfortable and produce good overall sound. (oh I guess they do tend to get a bit warm (ear cups) after extended use)

  • cool thread...

ive been in the market for headphones for a while now only buying a pair yesterday... i got sennheisser px200II i.
love them they retail for $200 i paid $99 in boxing day sales. they sound great are light weight, compact etc and very comfortable. personally im not a fan of beats, monster and sol etc as they are to colourful and chunky for my liking they seem to be more of a fashion accessory. bose are another good option too.

I have these and they are superb and you don't need an amp to get a good sound out of them. Sennheisers are a good - all round set of headphones and you can't go wrong with that brand.

I have these as well and have listened through other Sennheisers and they were quality. Bose are also very high quality.

    Bose QuietComfort 15s

Best noise canceling set you can get

Had them for 3+ years and I'm happy with the $300 investment
