    I think this thread would be a lot more interesting if people said why they choose that version. In that spirit...

    Smile: Mansfield July 2 2003 - Even though Ed's harmonica parts are a bit rough, he's got this brilliant creepy menace to his voice that you don't get in most other versions. Mike's fills are really tough and meaty and the outro is more fleshed out than usual.

    The problem with Pinkpop '92 as a contender for "best ever" is that it relies heavily on watching the video. The version itself is pretty darn good, but not top tier, in my mind, in a musical sense.

    I'm with you, as far execution goes well we all know how bad it really is. However as far as style, enthusiasm and just generally no fucks given there is nothing better. :)
