Unopened Christmas Singles

Is there a market for 10C records still in the shipping cardboard? Considering you can't listen to it.

Because I was going through some stuff and I have at least 5 unopened 10C Christmas singles circa 2005-2010.

Thanks!

Not so much. People want to know for sure that it is not damaged and it is what it is. Also, for you it helps to know that you sent what you said you were going to send. Does that make sense?

Sort of, but it's pretty obvious what it is. Unless I'm a bad-ass counterfeiter. Let me get a pic of one posted.

True, some people like the sealed and unopened deal. But others, like myself, would rather buy a record that has been open and spun once or twice and can be verified to be minty. The worst is hearing people say they buy a sealed piece of wax and open it up and it's defected bc they are SOL. Just my .02

    +1000

Why leave them sealed? So you can look a the really cool brown cardboard packaging??
  • This is hysterical. Leave it "sealed" if you're not going to play it. Everyone here knows that adds value. Not that some of the points aren't valid, but folks like to open their own packages and it retains more value as it's been stored in "original" condition - which is attractive to collectors. Yes, folks who want to just spin may not care. But, that's also b/c the value of said item goes down once opened (and at worst it stays the same - you're not going to increase value by opening it). Just peruse this very forum and you can see the price difference on sealed vs. opened and "minty."

Someone might open and spin, but there is a segment that will pay a premium to get original packaging.

Now, mid-2000's singles probably aren't worth all that much to begin with (relatively speaking), so I'm not sure how much original packaging would add anyway. But, personally, if you aren't spinning, I would leave it sealed and advertise as such (with price if here) and you'll get plenty of respsonses. And, hey - if someone pays your price and wants you to open before sending, you can still accommodate them (you can't re-seal once you un-seal).
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.

    Thanks for the response EdsonNascimento.

I am going to hold on to these for now and keep them sealed. If I want to hear the songs there are other means. And if I must hear the vinyl I can get those too.

So my answer to "is there a market for unopened 10C records?" - a resounding MAYBE.

Not saying its counterfeit, but what if 10c sent you the wrong thing? Or what if you got them mixed up. I dont know I just would pull them out of the box check them over and have the piece of mind your sending something youre comfortable with.

 No you get it ok. That wasn't the question that was asked, though. If he had said is there a way to play my unopened singles, well...
