If this helps... ifyou ship them to my art gallery / frame shop, I'll be glad to wait for both posters to arrive, open both, verify they are both there, and then put a secondary label (to be enclosed with the poster) and allow them both to go on their merry way. I wouldn't want to make a habit of this, but if this helps this one time, let me know! I like to think that I have a good reputation, so I could be considered fairly neutral and fair.

I bought my grail (the Yield Firehouse Poster) off ebay and it was shipped amateurishly. Ended up creasing it 2 ways. Got my money back (and so far kept the poster, but waiting a bit to see if they contact me).
thanks for all the offers. I think I trust this dude. I believe 2 paranoids make for a trustworthy transaction. If he wants to go through a safe method though, Id be for it.
Please note, shipping in a tube, while inexpensive an convenient, is often not the safest method for paper art. The most often damage I've seen is when the poster is curled, the end which was curled-in chafes the face of the poster. Even with paper wrapped around the end of the poster paper, I've seen this with a small percentage of the posters which have arrived out of the like 150-200 PJ posters I've framed for board members. If these are highly valuable, you may want to consider shipping them flat in between like 10 sheets of foamboard (5 sheets on either side, or at least 1 sheet of foamboard on either side, with 4 sheets of cardboard outside of that) as this would keep the artwork from harming itself in transit. ...though some posters are less fragile than others when it comes to scuffing.

The trade has been executed. Thanks for the advice and subduing our paranoia. I guess its understandable when you take a "leap of faith" and ship a $4-$6 Hundred dollar item. We are both very satisfied. Love the Sperry!
I think the OP has nothing to worry about at all with MayDay10, anyway. But in general terms for a trade, the third party idea is a good one assuming both parties are cool with double shipping prices. Or, more creatively, how about arranging a day and time when you both go to a post office at the same time and do the shipping transaction live with each other via skype.

Best of luck, hope all works out. It's nice to see things worked out ahead of time.
