I attended both. At the time, I thought Worcester 1 was a much better show.
After listening to the boots, I think that Worcester 2 is waaay better.

Although, the sound on "My Father's Son" seems a bit off and kind of weird.
Other than that one song, night 2 seems superior.

The vibe in the building can have a huge affect on you when you're actually there (as I'm sure you know). What sounds better on a boot may not have been the better live show to witness. :)

Both nights had crazy crowd energy. Eddie was sick to death on night 1. I am still amazed that show went as long as it did.

It's pretty crazy what Eddie can do when he's really sick. He was super sick in Missoula too, yet that boot still sounds fantastic.

Night 2 may have been shorter, but who cares? I didn't. I was in the pit, "4th row" from stage, and they played songs I really like. Down>State! Other Side! Smile! Baba O'Riley! It was an awesome show. Heck, even Gone stood out to me as a highlight.

I thought Ed was sicker the 2nd night though? Whatever, it was all good and fun.
  • It's weird that everyone says that 'My Father's Son' sounds bad on the boot... I thought it sounded great when I was at the concert. It must be a mixing issue or something? Or maybe the energy at the show made it sound better than it was. Who knows...

Jeff's bass is tuned incorrectly for my fathers son.

I was at both shows and remember night one being better. Having listened to the boots though I'll agree with the others, night two is superb.

I also thought Ed appeared much sicker on the second night. I do think that is evident on the boots whereas the crowd energy is not.

I was at both shows and now that I have the bootlegs side by side to compare....these are probably the best back to back boots ever. Such a diverse setlist for both nights. Obviously the staples/new songs were played both nights. Other than that, these shows were polar opposites. And so good. Next to the 3 Mansfield shows in 03, these are the most awesome setlists in the same city on the same tour.
He who forgets will be destined to remember.

    9/29/04 Boston, 6/28/08 Mansfield, 8/23/09 Chicago, 5/15/10 Hartford
    5/17/10 Boston, 10/15/13 Worcester, 10/16/13 Worcester, 10/25/13 Hartford
    8/5/16 Fenway, 8/7/16 Fenway
