    I can still feel the crushing impact of that cold steel smashing into my skull as I fell off that thing as it spun out of control at about 100 mph.

    I liked the part when all your friends would be spinning at about 200 RPM and you would try to time jumping on. 8-)

    It usually ended with a bar or foot spinning you back into the pea gravel ... and then you would try again ...

    There's one at the bobo playground at the Wellfleet Drive-In Theatre on Cape Cod. I can tell you that.

    The kids I saw were having a blast on it.

    My three-year-old daughter tried to play with the big kids on it. She hung in there for a while. I could see her looking a little peaked hunkered down in the middle, so I had to be the killjoy dad who stopped the ride, and she had to be the "baby" who needed to get off.

    S'OK. We'll get 'em next summer, girl.
