    Thanks for this ... there are alternatives ... the cheap as possible mentality results only in cruelty, massive profits, less jobs and poorer health ... people need to get their heads out of their proverbial asses ...

    Yes, definitely there are alternatives including being vegetarian or at least eating less meat in general, doing a little research to make sure what meat we do eat comes from responsible humane farms and particularly by avoiding fast food restaurants. Thanks for posting the article, halv, and thanks to the brave animal activist souls who fight animal cruelty at much risk to themselves.
