My red lightning bolt story (pjcollectors.com wrong?)

I'm trying to find out the deal on the red vinyls and am doing a bit of research. I was unlucky and my original LB arrived unplayable on the B-side.

I sent an email to 10C shipping casually asking. No response. I sent an email to the umusic lady just casually asking if I should have got a red one, as the information at pjcollectors.com states the replacements are red. She wrote back that it was some sort of special deal through the website.

So I'm thinking that pjcollectors.com is wrong. If it was right, then I probably should have gotten a red one, no? I'm also thinking someone fell asleep at the wheel big time, as a lot of people just *might have* gotten very, very lucky to get these vinyls.

I'm not feeling hosed, but I would like to know the real deal.

    I don't think pjcollectors.com is wrong. Just the black Replacement copy isn't listed yet.
    One hand will wash the other!

    They replace reds with reds. My original was black so I got a black replacement. They just haven't added the black represses to pjcollectors yet.

    I think I read here somewhere that they are out of the black replacements and still have plenty of reds lying around. This would explain why some people got more than just one, and some people got red replacements instead of black ones.

    How would they know, unless there was a separate item in the store known as "red vinyl?"

    If what you read was right and then what I wrote above must be wrong...

    So they went through the black ones first and now are going through red replacements? People that ordered two originals got two replacements?
