A costly subsidy for wind energy producers is coming under fire as Congress weighs whether to extend it past Dec. 31, with a new study charging that it shifts millions from taxpayers to benefit a select few.

This is the kind of thing that needs to be invested in now for the benefit of those in the future. Subsidizing alternate energy production now is only good for the future. The quote in the article is "Subsidies to wind producers come at the expense of taxpayers everywhere." .... Um, yeah. That's how you get good shit done. Did these people think that the ending our reliance on fossil fuels and therefore improving the world for our children would be easy and free to taxpayers???
