Stop complaining and be happy PJ is back one year after the last european tour.
only one uk show this year, but you Reading and Leeds last year... and Dublin, Antwerp, Arnhem and Paris are not far from UK...
But thanks to Glastonbury not being on, Reading and Leeds sold out in lightning time, before PJ were even confirmed if memory serves (probably doesn't).

I didn't get tickets because of the cc thing, and thought I was alright, and then had to go out, about 10 mins before Gregmac put up his link, which sucks massively. That's life. I'm not gonna pretend I'm not pissed off about it all, and I think people who are telling the people who didn't get tickets to stop bitching should take a step back and think about what would have happened if it was them.

I missed out on Astoria, Reading/Leeds and now Wembley. Luckily I got tickets to see them in Madrid, even though I wanted to go to Dublin. Thing is, people just want to see them in their own country; so, yeah, fair game to people for going wherever to see them, but people expect (rightly or wrongly) to be able to see them in their own country, if and when they play. The fact that the 10c were (apparently) woefully underprepared has left a lot of people feeling bitter, upset and, ultimately, let down.

S'hardly the band's fault but, at the end of the day, we pay our money, we expect a better service. You can say I ought to have stayed home til I was sure I had tickets, but I'd been there nearly 4 hours. Clearly I don't love them enough. Still, I've seen PJ once. Guess that'll have to do.

but come on... you can't expect the band to know or anticipate something like that... I'm sure they just thought they'd make their fans happy by playing a couple of concerts.

Makes me sick that travel packages are being offered to the US when we get just that one gig for 2007.

It's going to be hard enough to get tickets as it is without the extra demand.

Do Pearl Jam not like the UK or something?

    ONE SOLITARY GIG?

Well thankyou very much...how fucking generous.

ummm.... the travel packages don't include airfare, so technically, they could be used by anyone.... all they're doing is hooking you up with tickets, a hotel, and some other goodies... you have to get yourself to the city...

You are wrong - PJ were announced the week before tickets went on sale. On top of that - the Sunday 'day' tickets for reading at least were really easy to get hold of if you wanted one. If you were committed to getting one at the right times it was a piece of piss...

I guess you just didnt want it enough.

Yeah I've just seen that. Glad it's cheaper than the 10c! Although with the booking fee and postage I spose it won't be much different!

Won't Livenation link to Ticketmaster anyway? What's the point in the site?

The headliners for Reading/Leeds were announced 1 hour before the tickets went on sale, of that I'm 100% sure..I was online because of rumours that they'd play..but it was not announced before.
But you could get Day tickets for weeks after, only weekend tickets sold out in the hour...so no excuse no to go to this.

Livenation does link to Ticketmaster...but sometimes they have pre-sales that you can access only through them, not the case here.

tickets will end up the same as 10c after postage and booking fees.

And people who missed out, don't despair, there's still spares floating around..people are just keeping them for swaping at present...and spouses might change their minds..etc.
if you want it, you'll find the tickets..I found 10c tickets (of which there was only 300 per show) at the last minute last tour...with so many in Wembley, I would never give up.
  • Did some people note on this thread (or another) that they will be trying for tickets tomorrow and will sort out those people less fortunate than themselves by letting them have them, or did i dream all this?????

    nah i read that.

on the one hand it does mean tickets are goin to fans on this board other than touts, but someone buying them for people on here also could be stopping real fans getting them

yeah its a nice sentiment in a way, like if you go on the board it makes you more worthy of a ticket, but, actually no buts, if your on the board you deserve one more than joe public pj fan who doesnt go on it! fuck em!!! hahaha

  • Didn't manage to get tickets for Wembley. I hear now all standing has been sold via 10cc. I'd rather tickets went here rather than toutscum on ebay but still I am in bits because I can't get standing tickets. What shall I do? Either way, well done to all who managed to get them.

Anyone coming down from the SHEFFIELD area?
  • icarus wrote:
does anyone know how many tickets are left generally? when do you think this thing will sell out

Judging by floorplans and photos that I've seen, it seems that seats cover the majority of Wembley Arena.

I'd say there are maybe 3000 standing tickets, maybe less, which leaves in the region of 9000 seats.

I still think it'll be sold out by lunchtime though

  • I'm gonna try for a seating, as the last alternative. Hopefully I'll be able to trade it with a standing, or just sell it, if I get my hands on a standing.

i'm afraid you can only try for seating as ALL standing is now gone... good luck everyone!

No, it's Wembley ARENA they are playing, not Wembley STADIUM. Shouldn't be too difficult to get one seat I wouldn't have thought.
