SAN DIEGO — Holiday traffic was snarled for several hours Thursday in both directions of the Interstate 15 at Miramar Way after police shut the highway down due a bomb scare. According to 10News, an unidentified man was arrested for allegedly placing a prank call around 3:15 p.m. to his sister, who was driving on the I-15, saying there was a bomb in the car.

The driver, who was also unidentified, didn’t know it was her brother and immediately pulled over and called 9-1-1, the 10News report said. Her brother called back an hour later and that time identified himself.

Officials closed both northbound and southbound lanes during the investigation and the San Diego Police Department said the bomb squad had arrived at the scene at 4:49 p.m.

:nono: in this day and age you just can't pull shit like that even with a family member.
