End time for shows

I've had the good fortune of attending Portland/Spokane and was surprised to see they ended well after 11:00 pm. I was under the impression that 11:00 is the typical cutoff time for concerts and they seemed to adhere to this in Pittsburgh/Buffalo if my memory is correct (yes, I realize there was no opener for those shows, but they seemed to go on at about 8:30 anyways).

I'm not complaining, just curious how they are able to play so late (and hoping they make it until 12:00 in Seattle!)

  • I'm sure the cities have certain curfews but they don't care, and i'm sure they can afford any fines for going past the curfew.

  • Seen 4 this tour and not one of them finished before 11.20. The last note in San Diego was 11.55. The venues have been turning the house lights on just after 11 but the band don't take any notice :D
